To all Comanches and families of C 1-153 IN:

With all the “free” time that we are allotted here at FOB Headhunter, I have brainstormed ways of allowing the families, as well as, the soldiers of the company to have a vehicle of communication in order to allow the soldiers to post the affects of their endeavors in theatre.  Additionally, this web page allows the Comanche families to take a “peek” into the everyday lives of your husbands, sons, brothers, and etc.  While brainstorming this web site, I wanted this product to be something that we, C CO 1-153 could take pride in, as much as we take pride in our operations stabilizing this country.  The men of this company have done exceptional things, which most soldiers in theatre could never dream of, or ever want to.  These “ordinary” soldiers have performed “extraordinary” feats, and continue to fight everyday, with the end state of making it home to their families, and that, in itself, is the most important mission in the world.  Over the last 8 months, we have compiled many stories, photos, and other items that will document the mission of this company, and although a very tough mission, they have performed exceptionally with courage, professionalism, and integrity.  Your dedication to mission accomplishment, coupled with you loyalty and selfless service to your men is truly inspiring, and I’m proud of each and every one of you.  To the families, there are always examples of heroism, and there is not better example than the wives and mothers of the children continuing your day to day missions…life without your spouse.  You are truly heroes of the battlefield at home.  I am as proud of most of the spouses as much as my men.  The greatest thing for a soldier to have is the love of his wife, girlfriend, and children…remember that.  As the Commander of this fine unit, I hope that you all visit this site and feel free to make suggestions as to how we can make this web site better.
